IMH Series (3 to 36 tons)
Indeco’s IMH series of hydraulically driven, boom- mounted mulching heads are specifically designed for a broad range of land clearing, site preparation, invasive vegetation species management, storm damage removal and clean-up applications.Tailored to fit a wide range of carriers from 3 to 36 tons, the IMH series is available in a number of direct-drive and belt-driven high-performance models and features HARDOX® components and bodies for optimal service life and lasting reliability.Achieving greater productivity and cost-efficiency than a dedicated crew of workers with chainsaws and chippers, IMH Mulching Heads fully leverage your existing equipment investments by utilizing the excavator, back-hoe or skid steer auxiliary hydraulics to turn your existing machine into a powerful land- clearing tool. With a low initial cost, single man/machine operation for reduced processing costs and ease of use, the IMH series requires no additional specialized machinery and can be used on multiple machines to deliver a superior return on investment for your mulching applications. In addition to superior productivity gains, mulching with the Indeco IMH series is also a more environmentally friendly process than conventional burning by putting back unwanted vegetation into the ecosystem as mulch. This protects newly cleared areas from wind and rain erosion while providing the soil with beneficial microorganisms.
- Multiple cutters available:
- Multi-purpose cutter: Ideal for all types of mulching applications, highly productive for shrubs, small-diameter tree trunks, bushes, and branches.
- Cobra cutter: Suitable for extremely heavy-duty forest mulching, especially for hard long-fibre woods, external stumps, and large tree trunks.
- Cutter with Tungsten Carbide: Designed for special applications with buried stumps, uneven ground, sand, debris, or other abrasive materials; also ideal for finer mulch.
- Can be used for compact/normal excavators and skid steers
- Multiple V-belt drive guarantees maximum reliability, power, and ease of maintenance; direct drive models available.
- Hydraulic motor with fixed or variable displacement depending on models.
- Particular design of teeth ensures the best grinding, increasing productivity and stability; "bite limiter" steel profiles enhance cutting depth and rotation speed.
- Body and components made of HARDOX® ensure maximum sturdiness and long service life in heavy-duty applications.
- Heavy Duty rotor ensures prolonged efficiency over time in any application.
- Direct access to the monobloc shaft facilitates maintenance on bearings and components.
- Pressure and flow limiting valve allows safe, fast installation, preventing incorrect setups.
- Safety and anti-cavitation valve protects motor from incorrect pipe connections and unexpected flow reversals, extending seal life.
- Centralized hydraulic connections, drainage line, and greasing points are visible during use, ensuring constant function checks.
- Interchangeable assembly points allow maximum flexibility of use with any excavator.
- Direct access to motor and hydraulic connections facilitates maintenance interventions.
